Michel British Isles 2024/2025

This time we have taken a close look at British vending machine stamps. At the end of 2023 all devices that produced overprints were withdrawn from circulation. We have started to provide detailed lists of tariff levels, overprints and the periods they were sold. We discovered new watermark variations on two postage stamps issued in Great Britain between 1900 and 1911. Price appraisals are in the four-digit range.

Regarding Ireland, we have included cross references between self-adhesive and wet-adhesive issues with the identical motif, considerably improving the overview. We have continued to feature the nominal code tariff tables as usual. For each affected stamp you will find information about its withdrawal from circulation. This lets collectors see at first glance if an item is still valid for postage or not.

As always, all price quotations have been revised and updated. The philatelic market of the British Isles has mainly remained stable. Yet not all key values and expensive contemporary type variations were able to maintain their quoted prices.
